I want to thank Loral and her team at Live Out Loud for contributing to the success of our new online vocal coaching business Vocal Alchemy

Back in 2010 at the invitation of Global 1 Events

I attended a seminar “Booming In the Bust” at which Loral Langemeier was speaking. Her energy was brilliant! So inspiring in fact that I enrolled in the November 2010 Cash Machine Workshop in Melbourne. I had an idea but It was here at this 3 day mini business mastery workshop that Vocal Alchemy Online Singing Lessons and Live Singing Workshops began to take flight. After a few months of implementing the tools gained, digging into our tool box, brainstorming, modeling, planning, building a team, sourcing a marketing and sales team, implementing operations and finance, and finally considering all possible growth and expansion we said YES and launched in March 2011. Vocal Alchemy has just celebrated our first birthday. Thank you too to our subscribers for their support and patronage. We now have growing numbers of singing subscribers from Australia and across the globe in London, Ireland, Paris, Glasgow. Laurel’s YES! Energy Equation is working everyday when Vocal Alchemy singing students take their online singing lesson wherever and whenever they happen to find themselves. I pre ordered Loral’s YES! Energy back in January and am inspired yet again. Do yourself a favor and grab a copy YES! ENERGY

The Vocal Alchemy Story……

The performing arts world is one of collaboration, even though we may feel at times as though we are out there on our own, that is indeed never the case. Do you ever wonder if the architects and builders of our stunning performing arts complexes and theatres realised that their passion and hard work would culminate in providing a venue, a playground for thousands of performers and performances?

What’s a song with out a composer, lyricist, musician or singer, a choreographer without music or dancers, a playwright or director without actors?

Performers need lights, sound, costumes, make up, hair, publicity, tickets, producers and investors who believe and trust that as performing artists we will deliver the experience we guarantee.

Cross training is now a requirement for performers who want to work in the music theater industry as is the maintenance of these skills at the elite level required for the 8 show a week demand. Musicals and productions are now being created with this kind of performer in mind. How do we as vital performers, manage to fit into our schedules the daily training, maintenance and funding required, when there just doesn’t seem to be enough work to sustain us all? We create it ourselves! We keep asking! We keep asking for more!

Vocal Alchemy was created in collaboration with yet another player - internet technology- in order to provide an inexpensive readily available avenue where singers and performers can train and practice everyday whilst taking into consideration that you may find yourself anywhere in the world. Vocal Alchemy has been created as a tool for you the performer, to support and assist your creative and artistic choices.

The Vocal Alchemy team shares a common vision and mission to continue to facilitate and foster an environment where education, support and collaboration are the foundation.

ABOUT US: For twenty-five years the team that has now produced Vocal Alchemy has provided live entertainment services to producers for their theatrical and concert events both within Australia and internationally including Sir Cameron Macintosh,David Atkins Enterprises, Ambassador Theatre Group London, John Frost, Kevin Jacobson, Malcolm Cooke and Associates, Disney Theatricals, Garry Ginivan Attractions, Foxtel, Shock Records, Crawford Productions, Farrelly Productions and Louise Withers and Associates.

Professional productions include: Billy Elliot The Musical, West Side Story 2010, Mamma Mia National Tour 2009-10, The Lion King, Dusty The Original Pop Diva, Beauty and the Beast, Sweet Charity, Les Misérables, Cats, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, Evita, Oklahoma, Show Boat, Hello Dolly and for international stars including Michael Crawford, Barbra Streisand, Joan Rivers and Petula Clarke.

The VOCAL ALCHEMY team was also responsible for the establishment of the Music Theatre Department at the internationally-recognised Victorian College of the Arts. Whilst there, they were instrumental in authoring the original Bachelors’ Degree curriculum which is now fully operational under the administration of the University of Melbourne.
